Sonatel shareholders approve 1-for-10 stock split

Sonatel shareholders have approved a stock split with a ratio of 1 to 10 during an extraordinary general meeting. Under this plan, each existing share will be replaced by 10 new shares, increasing the total number of shares from 100 million to 1 billion. The company's share capital will remain unchanged at 50 billion FCFA.

The operation aims to make Sonatel shares more accessible and to expand the shareholder base. The split will not affect the percentage of capital held by each shareholder or the total theoretical value of their portfolios at the time of the split, excluding subsequent market price fluctuations.

The final trading of shares under the old nominal value will occur on Friday, October 23, 2026. The split will take effect on Monday, October 26, 2026, with the first trading of the split shares occurring at the market opening. The adjustment will be handled automatically by central depositories and custodian banks, requiring no action from shareholders.
