Sondrio province renews free skipass for youth

The provincial skipass initiative has been renewed for the 2026/2027 winter season in the Valtellina and Valchiavenna regions. Promoted by Bim and supported by the Province, Mountain Communities, and the Municipality of Sondrio, the program allows children and teenagers residing in the province of Sondrio to use ski lifts for free.

Eligible participants are those born between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2023. The initiative involves an investment of 450,000 euros and aims to encourage snow sports and promote local ski slopes. Applications can be submitted or renewed between October 1 and November 15 at designated locations, including tourist consortia, info points, municipalities, and Pro Loco offices.

Fees include 70 euros for the skipass release, with a 100 euro charge for late requests after the deadline. Additional costs include 5 euros for the keycard support and 20 euros for new card issuances. To prevent misuse, a 100 euro penalty will be applied for any abuse of the skipass.
