Sondrio station implements new computerized railway control system

Rete Ferroviaria Italiana has activated a new Computerized Central Apparatus (ACC) at the Sondrio station to enhance train traffic management. The project, costing approximately 3 million euros, involves over 60 technicians and aims to improve the regularity and reliability of the Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano line.

The new system replaces older electromechanical technologies with digital interfaces and dedicated software. This technological upgrade is intended to increase efficiency in managing train schedules and infrastructure, potentially reducing service disruptions for commuters in the province.
