Song Chan-ui hits decisive three-run home run for LG Twins

LG Twins batter Song Chan-ui hit a decisive three-run home run during a game against the Doosan Bears at Jamsil Baseball Stadium on September 1. Entering the bottom of the 4th inning with the team trailing 0-1, Song hit a 125-meter home run off Doosan starter Jack Logue's 145 km/h fastball.

The hit was particularly notable because it was a ‘push’ home run toward the right-center field gap, a feat Song described as a first in his baseball career. He noted that while he initially aimed for a sacrifice fly to tie the game, the ball cleared the fence instead. The home run provided the only runs of the game, securing a 3-1 victory for the LG Twins.

Song, who has recently solidified his position as the team's number four hitter, currently holds a season batting average of .302 with 14 home runs and 58 RBIs across 93 games.
