Song Ki-yoon and wife discuss recovery from major traffic accident

During a broadcast of MBN’s ‘Special World’ on the 1st, actor Song Ki-yoon and his wife, musician Kim Sook-jin, shared details regarding a severe past traffic accident. Kim revealed that while scouting a performance venue, she was struck from behind by a speeding dump truck.

Although she escaped significant external injuries, the impact caused long-term physical pain and severe psychological trauma, including depression, panic disorder, and insomnia. Kim credited her husband, Song Ki-yoon, as her “lifesaver” for his dedicated care during her recovery process.

Song, who manages household chores and cooking to support his wife, noted that Kim still experiences anxiety and physical tension when traveling in vehicles, particularly when cars are close to one another.
