Songpa-gu launches exam fee support for youth
Songpa-gu in Seoul has launched a support program to assist unemployed and self-employed youth with the costs of language and certification exams. The initiative aims to alleviate the economic burden on young job seekers facing difficult employment conditions.
Eligible participants must be aged 19 to 39 and have resided in Songpa-gu for at least one year. The program provides up to 100,000 KRW per person for various exams, including TOEIC, TOEFL, Korean History Proficiency, and various national technical and professional certifications. Driver's license exam fees are excluded.
Following a successful first half of the year that supported 355 individuals, the district plans to expand support to a total of 900 people this year. Applications for the second half of the year open on September 1 and will run until October 31.
