Songpa-gu to host Garden Culture Festa at Sincheon Neighborhood Park

Songpa-gu will host the ‘2026 Songpa Garden Culture Festa’ from October 1 to 2 at the newly renovated Sincheon Neighborhood Park. The event coincides with the official reopening of the park, which has operated as a children's traffic park since 1983. The revitalized space now features a garden support center, a moss garden, an outdoor library, and a playground.

The festival includes a variety of programs such as gardening experiences, classical music performances, and a garden quiz show. A highlight of the event is a talk concert by garden designer Hwang Ji-hae, a three-time gold medalist at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, who will discuss the value of Korean gardens.

Other activities include a garden gallery, a garden library for outdoor reading, a garden flea market, and various hands-on workshops for children. Songpa-gu Mayor Seo Kang-seok stated that the festival aims to enhance the brand value of Songpa as a ‘garden city’ and integrate garden culture into the daily lives of residents.
