Songsak Thongsri defends transfer of DSI chief Yutthana Praedam

Deputy Prime Minister Songsak Thongsri has addressed the transfer of Pol. Maj. Yutthana Praedam from his position as Director-General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) to a special expert role within the Office of the Prime Minister.

Songsak denied allegations that the reassignment was related to ongoing investigations into Senate election irregularities. He characterized the move as a promotion, noting that the transition from a C10 to a C11 level is a significant career milestone for civil servants.

According to Songsak, Yutthana possesses the expertise required to assist the government in handling public grievances and resolving citizen complaints. He indicated that specific duties will be assigned to him in his new capacity.
