Songshan Cultural Park integrates CHARGESPOT power sharing into smart poles

The Songshan Cultural and Creative Park in Taipei is implementing a smart hub demonstration project that integrates CHARGESPOT shared power bank rental services into seven smart poles. This initiative, a result of the ‘AI × City Smart Hub—Field Innovation Proposal Competition’ organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, involves a collaboration between CHARGESPOT and Far EasTone.

The smart poles serve as multi-functional nodes, combining street lighting, digital signage, environmental sensors, and AR interaction. Users can rent power banks for the first 30 minutes free of charge, with subsequent usage subject to standard fees.

Drawing inspiration from Tokyo’s Shibuya district, where the parent company INFORICH has established disaster response mechanisms, the project aims to enhance urban resilience. Future development plans include using these smart poles to provide emergency backup power through free rentals during major disasters and utilizing digital signage to broadcast government announcements and disaster information to the public.
