Songwriter Guo Zi to headline classic hits concert in Taipei

Taiwanese songwriter Guo Zi, who has written more than 500 songs for stars such as Wang Fei, Jacky Cheung and A‑Mei, will stage a concert on 16 October 2026 at Legacy Taipei. The show, titled “Original Songs Live in Legacy Taipei”, will feature re‑arranged versions of his classic K‑TV hits in a new “Emotional Rock” style.

Guo Zi says the event doubles as a birthday gift to himself, marking over three decades of his career. The setlist is about 80 % finalized, mixing well‑known tracks with lesser‑known pieces he wants listeners to rediscover. Tickets go on sale at noon on 10 August, and the performer encourages audience members to join in and “sing the youth away” together with the Floating Flower Band.

The concert aims to let fans experience familiar melodies with fresh arrangements while celebrating Guo Zi’s legacy as a prolific creator of Mandarin pop classics.
