Sonia Reyes swimming pool in Guadalajara set to reopen in November

The Sonia Reyes swimming pool in Guadalajara is expected to reopen in November following extensive roof renovations. The facility has been closed since early May due to safety concerns regarding the condition of its cover.

Mayor Ana Guarinos visited the site to inspect the progress, noting that the project is entering its final stages. Current work involves installing the last sandwich panels for the new roof, after which the internal scaffolding must be dismantled. Following the removal of the scaffolding, municipal technical services will conduct inspections to ensure the facility is safe for public use.

The renovation project is costing nearly one million euros. While the pools remain closed, the complex's gym has resumed offering some scheduled courses as of October 5.
