Sonic Drive-In launches cold “Hotumn” fall beverage lineup

Sonic Drive-In has announced the launch of its “Hotumn” beverage lineup, a collection of cold, fall-inspired dirty sodas and iced teas designed for late-summer temperatures. The limited-time menu, which avoids traditional pumpkin spice flavors, is scheduled to be available at participating locations and via the Sonic app starting August 24.

The lineup includes four specific drinks: a Cherry Pie Coke featuring cherry and vanilla flavors with sweet cream, a Blueberry Pie Dr Pepper with blueberry puree and vanilla, a Harvest Berry Sprite with wildberry and cranberry, and a Cranberry Orchard Sweet Tea infused with peach and cranberry.

To promote the campaign, the Atlanta-based company has partnered with content creator Caitlin Covington. The marketing strategy aims to address the trend of early autumn seasonal releases by providing cold alternatives for consumers experiencing high temperatures during the transition to fall.
