Sonic expands Blue Pelican Slush statewide in Louisiana

Sonic Drive-In has expanded the sale of the Blue Pelican Slush to all 138 of its locations across Louisiana. The promotion, which began on October 1, is scheduled to run through March 31, 2027.

Created in honor of the state bird, the drink consists of Sprite, blue coconut flavoring, and sweet cream. The initiative is a partnership between Sonic and the Keep Louisiana Beautiful Foundation. According to Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser, 100% of the proceeds from the drink sales will support the foundation’s mission to maintain clean, litter-free waterways and communities throughout the state.
