Sonipat: Retired forest officer killed in road rage incident

A retired Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Jaipal Rathi, was killed in broad daylight in the Gannaur area of Sonipat, Haryana. The incident occurred on Agwanpur Road near an STP while Rathi was traveling by car for personal work.

Preliminary investigations indicate the killing was triggered by a road rage incident. A dispute arose between Rathi and another individual regarding giving way to vehicles. During the escalation, the suspect struck Rathi on the head with a stone, causing fatal injuries.

Local police arrived at the scene following reports of a fight and identified the victim. The accused, identified as Ravi, a resident of Mahra village currently living in Gannaur, has been arrested by the Gannaur police. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the attack.
