Sonja Savić: Remembering the iconic Yugoslav film actress
Sonja Savić, a prominent and highly talented actress of Yugoslav, Serbian, and Slovenian cinema, passed away on September 23, 2008. Born in Čačak in 1961, she became a symbol of 1980s Yugoslav film through cult roles in productions such as ‘Šećerna vodica’ and ‘Davitelj protiv davitelja’. Her performance in ‘Život je lep’ earned her international recognition and a special jury award at the Venice Film Festival.
