SonKim Land partners with MTR and Gamuda Land for Vietnam TOD projects

At the 11th Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Summit held in Hong Kong, SonKim Land signed a principle agreement to establish a strategic partnership for developing integrated stations in Vietnam. The partnership includes Hong Kong's MTR Corporation (specifically MTR Smart Mobility) and Gamuda Land Vietnam.

The collaboration aims to research opportunities for Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) in Vietnam, focusing on integrated station models that combine public transport infrastructure with urban functions such as commerce, services, and real estate. The signing ceremony was witnessed by representatives from the Vietnamese and Malaysian Consulates.

The BRI Summit, co-organized by the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, hosted over 6,000 delegates from more than 70 countries and regions. During the event, more than 60 agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed or witnessed, with total project and transaction values exceeding $3.1 billion.
