Authorities in Álamos, Sonora, have arrested a 63-year-old man, identified as Felizardo “N”, for alleged animal cruelty. The arrest followed the viral spread of a video on social media showing the man dragging a dog with an ATV.

The State Attorney General's Office (FGJE) executed an arrest warrant and a search warrant issued by a judge in Navojoa. During the operation, police seized a 2018 model ATV. A mixed-breed brown dog involved in the incident was placed under the protection and care of the ADF DOG Canine Foundation.

The suspect remains in judicial custody as legal proceedings continue to determine his situation according to the law.
