Sonora faces extreme heat with temperatures up to 43°C
The state of Sonora is experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures in Hermosillo expected to reach between 39°C and 43°C throughout the week. In municipalities such as San Luis Río Colorado and Caborca, maximum temperatures are forecasted to hit 41°C.
Meteorological experts suggest a potential shift in weather conditions toward the weekend. The remnants of Hurricane Rachel and an approaching cold front may bring increased humidity and a possibility of rain. In Hermosillo, temperatures could drop to approximately 35°C or 36°C by Sunday or Monday, with a 24% to 40% chance of showers.
While much of the state remains under high heat, some areas may experience wind gusts of up to 50 kilometers per hour and scattered showers.
