Sonora governor Evelyn Salgado holds community meetings in Puerto Marqués and Hermosillo

Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda of Sonora met with residents and service providers in Puerto Marqués, emphasizing dialogue and cooperation to improve the beach destination for the summer tourist season. Subsecretary of Political and Social Development Francisco Rodríguez Cisneros, local commissioner Martín Carmona Salinas and community representative Angélica Niño Sandoval discussed institutional support, with Rodríguez noting, “Lo importante es mantener el diálogo y trabajar juntos para que Puerto Marqués siga siendo un destino que reciba a las familias con confianza.”

State executive office chief Paulina Ocaña led an informative assembly in the Pueblitos neighborhood of Hermosillo, reiterating the governor’s “a ras de suelo” approach. She highlighted the governor Alfonso Durazo’s lesson that officials must be “where the people are, rain or shine,” and framed the meeting as part of the outreach ahead of the governor’s fifth government report.
