Sonora Governor launches housing and community center projects

Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño has launched several social and infrastructure initiatives in Sonora. In Navojoa, the 'Vivienda para el Bienestar' project has begun with the laying of a first stone for 4,600 new homes. This project, supported by President Claudia Sheinbaum, involves an investment of 2,475 million pesos and aims to provide housing for low-income families.

In Ciudad Obregón, the construction of the 'México Imparable' Community Center has commenced with a 10 million peso investment. This center, part of a national security strategy to address the root causes of violence, will provide youth with access to sports, culture, recreation, and mental health services to promote social stability.

Additionally, the state government recognized female researchers through the first 'Mujeres que Transforman el Conocimiento' State Award, highlighting the importance of women's participation in scientific decision-making and regional development.
