Sonora launches health and wellness initiatives for seniors
The Government of Sonora, through the Sonoran Institute for the Attention of Older Adults (ISAAM), is launching several initiatives to promote active and healthy aging for citizens aged 60 and over.
From August 24 to 28, the Week for Older Adults will be held at Development Centers (CEDAM) in Hermosillo, Cajeme, and Agua Prieta. This program includes free services such as physiotherapy, dentistry, medical attention, beauty services, and physical activation activities to foster community coexistence.
Additionally, ISAAM is collaborating with the Universidad Durango Santander (UDS) to improve oral health access. Starting in September, this partnership will provide dental care, hygiene education, and low-cost prosthetics through social service students. These services will be available in both Hermosillo and Cajeme.
