Sonora launches neurodivergence training for educators

The Government of Sonora, through the Sistema para el Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF Sonora) and the Procuraduría de la Defensa de los Derechos de las Personas con Discapacidad (Prodedis), conducted a training program titled ‘Neurodivergence in the Classroom’.

The initiative was designed for preschool, primary, and secondary school teachers to provide tools for inclusive education. The training focused on understanding neurodivergence through a human rights lens, emphasizing that neurological differences are part of human diversity and require specific educational strategies to support student learning and participation.
