Sonora Youth Program Distributes Bicycles to Hundreds of Participants

The government of the Mexican state of Sonora, through the Instituto Sonorense de la Juventud (ISJ), handed out bicycles to young people who took part in the summer edition of the Centros de Bienestar Juvenil (CBJ). The distribution was part of Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño’s effort to improve mobility, promote healthy lifestyles and provide tools that support personal, educational and community development. The ceremony was led by ISJ director Rebeca Valenzuela Álvarez, with the presence of Secretary of Welfare Fernando Rojo de la Vega and Sub‑Secretary of Social Inclusion Pablo García Minjares. The bikes were given at the schools Jaime Torres Bodet, María Candelaria Vanegas Trejo, Manuel Mirazo and Club de Leones No. 4, where the CBJ summer program ran from 22 June to 3 July and involved thousands of youths in sports, cultural and educational activities.
