Sonos and Teufel release Dolby Atmos soundbar solutions

Recent developments in home audio highlight new options for Dolby Atmos soundbar setups.

The Sonos Arc utilizes eleven Class D digital amplifiers and up-firing drivers to create spatial audio effects without a traditional multi-channel speaker system. It features three dome tweeters and eight elliptical woofers, connecting via HDMI eARC to support lossless Dolby TrueHD content. The system also includes Trueplay technology for room calibration via iOS.

Teufel is offering the Cinebar 11, a soundbar and subwoofer bundle designed for Dolby Atmos. While it lacks network connectivity for streaming, the system is noted for its powerful sound and slim design. Recent testing indicates the Cinebar 11 provides a strong price-to-performance ratio, though its 3D sound effects and vocal naturalness are considered solid rather than top-tier.
