Sonos announces Ace Ultra premium headphones

Sonos has announced the release of the Ace Ultra, a new premium over-ear headphone designed to expand its personal listening lineup. The device features a custom-designed 40mm driver, next-generation adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC) powered by ten microphones, and up to 35 hours of battery life.

A key highlight is the introduction of ‘Headphone Engine 2’, which allows for seamless integration with the Sonos ecosystem. Through this feature, users can transfer audio from Sonos speakers directly to the headphones and back again with a single button press, a capability currently offered via early access. The headphones also support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos.

The Ace Ultra is priced at $449 and is available in several colors, including black, soft white, agave, and sand. While the headphones offer high-end performance and ecosystem connectivity, they are positioned as a premium option within a competitive market.
