Sonos prepares September launch for Ace Ultra headphones and Gambit soundbar

Sonos is reportedly preparing a new wave of product announcements for September, including hardware updates to its audio lineup.

FCC filings suggest the company may unveil the ‘Ace Ultra’ headphones. This new model is expected to feature a circum-aural design similar to the original Ace but will be available in five colors: Greige, Shadow Black, Agave, Blush, and Sand. The filings also indicate support for Sonos Voice Control, aligning with CEO Thomas Conrad’s strategy to integrate AI into the company’s core business.

Additionally, reports indicate Sonos is developing a compact soundbar under the internal codename ‘Gambit’. This device is positioned as a potential successor to the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) within the mid-range segment of the company’s catalog. These upcoming releases follow a period where the company faced software challenges and delayed feature rollouts for its existing Ace headphones.
