Sonos to unveil AI‑driven audio products at September event
Sonos announced that it will hold a product event in early September, as confirmed by CEO Thomas Conrad during the company’s quarterly earnings call. The presentation will showcase the firm’s work on “conversational computing” and predictive intelligence for the smart‑home ecosystem.
The company hints that new hardware could be revealed, such as an upgraded speaker or a sound bar featuring AI‑based room‑calibration (RoomFit), a touchscreen display and high‑resolution audio support. Existing Sonos Voice Control is expected to be expanded beyond music playback to broader voice‑controlled home functions. Details of the products and features will be disclosed at the event.
The move signals Sonos’s push to embed artificial‑intelligence capabilities more deeply into its premium audio platforms, aiming to automatically optimise sound settings, personalise listening experiences and integrate more tightly with other smart‑home devices.
