Spain's summer festivals attract thousands across towns and cities

A series of summer festivals and cultural events unfolded across Spain, drawing large crowds and boosting local economies. In Lugones, the Panorama orchestra celebration filled the town square with thousands of attendees for nightly music and traditional activities. The Sonafilm International Film Music Festival opened in Dénia with a tribute concert to composer Antón García Abril, attended by local officials and about 200 spectators.

In the province of Zamora, the XXXV Zapata Gastronomic Contest presented 170 dishes and attracted visitors from across the region. Redondela’s Festival de Artistas de Rúa turned the historic centre into a free street‑art showcase, with families enjoying performances, a giant marionette and a night‑time shopping event. The SonRías Baixas festival in Bueu welcomed thousands for a full day of live music, food and beach activities, while the Ultraligera stage highlighted emerging bands at the same venue.

The VIII International Bagpipe Festival in Xinzo de Limia celebrated traditional music with a parade and concerts by groups from Galicia, Asturias and El Bierzo. In Tejina, Tenerife, a projected audiovisual show illuminated the church to mark the start of the town’s festivities. The Vibras urban‑music festival returned to Fuengirola’s Marenostrum beach, featuring Nicky Jam, María Becerra and Colombian artist Kapo. Finally, Sonorama Ribera in Aranda de Duero prepared for its 29th edition, expecting around 40,000 daily visitors and an economic impact of roughly €30 million.
