Sonsoles Ónega presents new novel in Cascante

Journalist and author Sonsoles Ónega presented her latest novel, ‘Llevará tu nombre’, in Cascante. The book is set in late 19th-century Spain and focuses on the life of Mada Riva, a young woman who finds refuge among women sheltered by the congregation founded by Santa Vicenta María López y Vicuña.

During the event, Ónega discussed the historical research behind the work and the impact of discovering the figure of Santa Vicenta María, an illustrious resident of Cascante. The novel explores themes of love, injustice, and female vindication within a historical context where women's voices were often silenced.
