Sonu Nigam goes viral for vocal range and clarifies fabricated video

Singer Sonu Nigam has gained viral attention for his vocal versatility during his ‘The Revolution – Sonu Nigam Live’ tour. During a sold-out performance at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York on September 13, 2026, Nigam performed the song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from the 2006 film Don. He demonstrated his range by seamlessly transitioning between male and female vocal registers to cover all three original parts of the track.

Separately, Nigam addressed a fabricated video circulating on social media that appeared to show him mocking the singing of actor Salman Khan. Through an Instagram post, Nigam clarified that the video was an edited clip. He explained that the footage was actually his reaction to a young Pakistani singer, which had been wrongly stitched together with a clip of Khan’s song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ to create a false narrative.
