Sony α7R V leads September 2026 camera transaction rankings

Minna no Camera Co., Ltd. has released its September 2026 transaction rankings for cameras and lenses. The Sony α7R V emerged as the top-selling camera body, climbing from 15th place in August. The rankings showed a significant shift in market composition, with nine of the top ten camera bodies changing since the previous month. Notably, three compact digital cameras—the GR IV, LUMIX TZ99, and Sony RX100 VII—entered the top ten.

In the lens category, the Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM ranked first. The top ten lenses were dominated by zoom lenses, six of which featured focal lengths of 200mm or greater.

Additionally, Sony has released the RX10 V, a lens-integrated camera featuring a 25x optical zoom (24mm to 600mm equivalent). The device includes a 1-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor, a 3-inch tilting touchscreen, and a 0.5-inch OLED electronic viewfinder.
