Sony and Guerrilla Games reportedly planning Killzone revival

Sony and Guerrilla Games are reportedly in the very early stages of developing a new project for the Killzone franchise, which has been dormant for over a decade.

Reports suggest the project may involve a remaster or remake of an existing title, with the original 2004 PlayStation 2 game being a primary candidate. While a full reboot remains a possibility, current indications point toward a modernized version of an existing entry.

Guerrilla Games is expected to focus on Killzone once work on Horizon Hunters Gathering is complete. To assist with development, Sony may utilize an external studio rather than relying solely on in-house resources. People Can Fly, the developer behind Outriders, has been identified as a potential development partner, possibly working under the codename 'Delta' to develop a game based on an existing PlayStation brand.
