Sony and LG unveil new TV lines for 2026
Sony is reportedly preparing a new Bravia 6 OLED series for 2026, aimed at a more affordable segment than its current premium Bravia 8 II. Leaks suggest the line will use WOLED panels from LG Display in sizes ranging from 48 to 83 inches and feature four HDMI 2.1 ports powered by a MediaTek Pentonic 800 SoC.
LG Electronics announced an expanded 2026 TV portfolio in Italy that adds three premium LED families: Micro RGB evo AI, Mini RGB evo AI and QNED Mini LED. The Micro RGB range uses multicolour micro‑LED backlighting, offers full‑spectrum colour coverage (100% BT.2020, DCI‑P3 and Adobe RGB) and is driven by the new α11 Gen3 AI processor. The Mini RGB line relies on a similar multicolour Mini‑LED approach with the α8 Gen3 processor, while the QNED family scales up to 115‑inch models. Both brands highlight AI‑enhanced processing and advanced dimming technologies as key differentiators for next‑generation visual performance.
