Sony and Sucker Punch announce Ghost of Yotei expansion and new mode

Sony and Sucker Punch have announced new content for Ghost of Yotei, scheduled for release on October 1, 2026. The update includes a new roguelike single-player mode titled ‘Most Wanted’ and a narrative expansion called ‘Echoes of Sekigahara’.

In the ‘Most Wanted’ mode, players engage in randomized runs involving bounty hunting and fighting waves of increasingly difficult enemies. A major highlight is the return of Jin Sakai, the protagonist from Ghost of Tsushima, as a playable character. Other playable characters include Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato, each featuring unique combat styles and weaponry.

Players can earn currency known as ‘Mon’ to purchase permanent upgrades, techniques, and cosmetic items. The content will be available as part of a Complete Edition or as an upgrade for existing owners of the base game for 14.99 EUR. Additionally, a free patch will be released alongside the update, providing armor transmogrification options, new music, and expanded accessibility features.
