Sony announces Bravia 6 OLED 4K TV series
Sony has officially confirmed the Bravia 6, a new entry-level 4K OLED TV series scheduled for release this autumn. The lineup will be available in five different screen sizes: 48, 55, 65, 77, and 83 inches. Notably, the 83-inch model marks Sony’s first return to this specific size for its OLED offerings since the 2023 A80L.
The Bravia 6 features an OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate, utilizing Triluminos Pro for color reproduction. It supports Dolby Vision for video, along with Dolby Atmos and DTS for audio. The television runs on the Google TV smart system, which now includes Gemini AI integration to assist with search functions and content recommendations.
A significant technical upgrade for gamers is the inclusion of four HDMI 2.1 inputs. All four ports support 4K video at up to 120 Hz, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), addressing a previous limitation where many Sony models, including flagship versions, were restricted to only two full HDMI 2.1 ports.
