Sony announces upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive game lineup

Sony has announced a shift in its strategy regarding console exclusives. While some titles will launch simultaneously on PC, the company stated in May 2026 that future single-player games will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5.

Key upcoming PlayStation 5 titles include:

• Marvel’s Wolverine: Developed by Insomniac Games, this linear action title is scheduled for release on September 15, 2026.

• Phantom Blade Zero: A Wuxia-inspired action game from Chinese studio S-Game. It is set to launch on both PS5 and PC on October 29, 2026, with a planned release for Xbox and Switch 2 in Fall 2027.

• God of War Laufey: Developed by Santa Monica Studio, this installment will focus on the character Faye. The game is slated for release on February 16, 2027.
