Sony announces Xperia 10 VIII mid-range smartphone

Sony has officially announced the Xperia 10 VIII, its latest mid-range smartphone. The device features a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which Sony claims is 50% brighter than the previous model. Audio improvements include front-facing stereo speakers that offer approximately 15% more volume and 30% deeper bass.

Under the hood, the Xperia 10 VIII utilizes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Notably, the device retains several legacy features, including a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The camera system consists of a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultra-wide lens. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery supporting 30W wired charging.

The smartphone will run on Android 16, with Sony promising up to four major OS updates. Available in Frozen White, Frosted Grey, and Misty Lilac, the device is expected to launch in various markets, including Europe, with pricing around 599 euros.
