Sony Bravia 9 II and Philips PUS9000 TV Reviews Highlight Performance and Pricing
Sony’s Bravia 9 II is the company’s first RGB‑Mini‑LED television, marketed as “True RGB”. Lab tests show excellent colour accuracy, very high brightness and a wide HDR colour palette across 1,500 dimming zones. The 65‑inch model supports 4K at 120 Hz on two HDMI ports, delivers strong built‑in sound and offers several larger sizes, but its price is positioned at the high end of the market.
Philips’ PUS9000, part of the “The One” series, uses a 65‑inch QLED‑LCD panel with Ambilight and HDMI 2.1 for 144 Hz gaming. Colour accuracy is good (ΔE 1.89 SDR, 3.72 HDR) and contrast measurements are strong, yet real‑world viewing reveals occasional blooming on dark scenes, a slightly muted colour impression and HDR performance that does not match OLED or higher‑end competitors. The TV runs on Titan OS with a full app selection and is priced below premium‑segment levels.
