Sony Bravia 9 II True RGB TV Reviewed as Premium Alternative to OLED

Sony’s latest Bravia 9 II TV uses the company’s new True RGB (Micro RGB) panel, which the review says can surpass OLED in colour accuracy and contrast while delivering much higher peak brightness. The high‑end model is priced around $3,500 and includes features such as Acoustic Surface Audio+, a customizable equaliser, and PlayStation 5‑ready VRR support. Sony’s partnership with TCL to co‑own the Bravia brand is noted, with the company pausing further OLED and Mini‑LED development to focus on the new display technology.

Separately, TCL’s 55‑inch QM7K Mini‑LED TV has been discounted to $599 at Best Buy after a period of $799‑plus pricing. The set offers over 1,700 nits of HDR brightness, Google TV smart platform, and HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K gaming at 120 Hz (and up to 144 Hz with a PC). Stock is limited as the model is being phased out for a newer version, making the current deal a brief opportunity for budget‑focused buyers.
