Sony considers physical media future amid Marvel's Wolverine updates

Sony is reportedly reconsidering its previous strategy regarding the phase-out of physical media. According to reports from the podcast ‘Broken Silicon’ by Moore’s Law Is Dead, Sony has conducted a survey among developers that included questions regarding opinions on the end of physical copies.

Separately, Insomniac Games has released patch 1.001.006 for Marvel’s Wolverine. The update addresses player criticism regarding the ‘scent trails’ feature, which provided visual and audio cues for collectibles and objectives. The new patch allows players to disable these trails for whisky bottles, material crates, and nightmare door roots through separate menu options, though the feature remains active during certain story-critical moments. The game has earned approximately $130 million following its debut.
