Sony expands PlayStation Plus lineup and launches GameChat for PS5

Sony announced the July 2026 PlayStation Plus catalog, adding high‑profile titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III with a full campaign, multiplayer and a large Zombies mode, alongside indie and strategy games For the King II and CrossCode. The monthly selection is available to all Plus subscribers from 7 July to 3 August, while extra and deluxe tiers will be revealed later.

In a separate update, Sony introduced GameChat for the PlayStation 5, a native voice‑and‑video party feature that lets up to three friends join a video call, share the game screen and overlay their video feeds. GameChat requires the latest system software and a compatible camera, offers granular sharing controls, and aims to provide a console‑focused alternative to PC Discord chats.
