Sony Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship preparations underway
Preparations are underway for the Sony Japan Women's Professional Golf Championship, one of Japan's four major women's golf tournaments, held at the Katayamazu Golf Club Hakusan Course in Ishikawa Prefecture.
Players have begun practice rounds to adjust to the course conditions. The field includes prominent international and domestic competitors, such as Miyu Yamashita, who competes primarily on the US tour, and Shiho Kuwaki, the winner of the AIG Women's Open. Other notable participants include Rio Takeda, Sena Kanazawa, and Erika Hara.
Tournament organizers have completed the setup of spectator facilities, including a 320-seat grandstand and large LED video boards. The event will feature preliminary rounds on September 10 and 11, with the top 60 players advancing to the final rounds on September 12 and 13.
