Sony launches luxury 1000X The Collexion headphones

Sony introduced the 1000X THE COLLEXION, a premium addition to its flagship noise‑cancelling headphone line, to mark the 10‑year anniversary of the original 1000X series. The model emphasizes upscale materials and design, featuring a metal frame with sandblasted and polished finishes, soft faux‑leather earcups, a handle‑free headband, and integrated controls.

Audio upgrades include a carbon‑composite driver system for clearer vocals and wider soundstage, AI‑driven DSEE Ultimate upscaling of compressed files, and enhanced 360 Reality Audio spatial modes for music, gaming and cinema. Core 1000X features remain, such as active noise cancellation, adaptive sound processing, voice‑call support and up to 24 hours of battery life.

The headphones are offered in Platinum and Black finishes, with a Sandstone colour option added to the WH‑1000XM6 lineup. Sony highlighted sustainability by using recycled plastics and plastic‑free packaging, and added accessibility touches like tactile controls and magnetic case closures.
