Sony Network Communications and Fibergate form capital alliance

Sony Network Communications and Fibergate have entered into a capital and business alliance to expand high-speed internet services for multi-dwelling units. Following an initial business partnership in April 2025, the companies signed a formal capital and business alliance agreement on August 21, 2026.

As part of this collaboration, Fibergate will launch a three-brand service structure starting September 1, 2026, utilizing the technology and brand power of Sony Network Communications’ ‘NURO Hikari’ service. The new lineup includes:

• Premium Plan powered by NURO: For residents in properties with free internet who desire faster speeds. • FGBB Hikari Connect powered by NURO: A high-quality service for new properties where owners or developers implement internet access for all units. • FGBB Hikari Select powered by NURO: A hybrid model where dedicated lines are installed for each unit at zero cost to the property owner, allowing residents to contract individually for 2Gbps or 10Gbps plans.

The partnership aims to address the increasing demand for high-capacity, stable communication required by online meetings, video streaming, and IoT devices while reducing the financial burden on property owners.
