Sony Pictures releases trailers for ‘The Social Reckoning’

Sony Pictures has released new trailers for ‘The Social Reckoning’ (O Outro Lado das Redes), a cinematic sequel to the 2010 film ‘The Social Network’. Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, the film serves as an investigative drama inspired by the real-world ‘Facebook Files’ investigation published by The Wall Street Journal in 2021.

The narrative focuses on whistleblower and former Facebook engineer Frances Haugen (played by Mikey Madison) as she collaborates with journalist Jeff Horwitz (played by Jeremy Allen White) to expose internal company documents. The plot explores the controversial impacts of social media platforms, including their effects on adolescent mental health, the spread of misinformation, and political violence.

Jeremy Strong stars as Mark Zuckerberg, taking over the role originally played by Jesse Eisenberg. The film is scheduled for release in October 2026.
