Sony Pictures reportedly developing new Ghostbusters film

Sony Pictures is reportedly developing a new live-action Ghostbusters film titled ‘Ghostbusters: Nightmare on 34th Street’. According to industry insider Daniel Richtman, the script is being written by Josh Miller, known for his work on ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ and ‘Violent Night’.

The rumored title suggests a holiday-themed setting, potentially playing on the classic film ‘Miracle on 34th Street’. While details regarding the cast and specific plot remain unconfirmed, the project follows the recent releases ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ and ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’.

In addition to the live-action film, Sony and Netflix are collaborating on an animated series titled ‘Ghostbusters: Night Shift’, which is expected to debut on Netflix. This series is executive produced by a team including Dan Aykroyd, Gil Kenan, and Jason Reitman.
