Sony Pictures reveals teaser for ‘The Social Reckoning’

Sony Pictures has released a new teaser for ‘The Social Reckoning’, a film written and directed by Aaron Sorkin. Serving as a follow-up to the 2010 film ‘The Social Network’, the project focuses on a different era of Facebook’s history.

Jeremy Strong stars as Mark Zuckerberg, taking over the role previously played by Jesse Eisenberg. The narrative is inspired by ‘The Facebook Files’ published by The Wall Street Journal, following former Facebook engineer Frances Haugen (played by Mikey Madison) as she works with journalist Jeff Horwitz (played by Jeremy Allen White) to expose the company’s internal operations.

Sorkin revealed that he chose to direct the film himself after David Fincher was unable to take the role due to an exclusive agreement with Netflix. Sorkin also cited the need for a timely release to avoid missing a specific window around the US midterm elections.
