Sony Pictures Television reshuffles distribution leadership
Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has announced a significant restructuring of its distribution and networks leadership following the departures of longtime executives Mike Wald and Flory Bramnick.
Mike Wald, who served as co-president of distribution and networks, will retire at the end of the year after more than 30 years with the studio. Flory Bramnick, executive VP of distribution for North America, is also stepping down to spend more time with her family.
In response to these exits, SPT is promoting Jason Spivak and Paul Littmann to the roles of presidents of distribution and networks, reporting to SPT chairman Keith Le Goy. Additionally, Mark Young has been named executive VP and head of international, expanding his oversight of EMEA to include Latin America and Asia Pacific. Monica Veiga has been promoted to executive VP of TV distribution for North America.
The management changes aim to accelerate decision-making and strengthen collaboration as the company focuses on growth in digital landscapes, including YouTube, FAST channels, and other performance-based distribution models. SPT is also creating a new executive position specifically for its YouTube and digital platforms business.
