Sony PlayStation Plus pricing update and August 2026 free games

On 20 May 2026 Sony revised the PlayStation Plus price list, raising the monthly and three‑month subscription fees while keeping the twelve‑month plans unchanged. Prices now range from €9.99 to €18.99 per month, or €71.99 to €151.99 for a year, making the annual plan the most economical option. Existing subscribers with active auto‑renewal retain the previous rates, but new sign‑ups must pay the higher fees.

Each month PlayStation Plus offers three games at no extra cost. For August 2026 the service announced the titles Big Walk, Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition and Signalis, which can be claimed through the PlayStation Store by users with at least the Essential tier subscription. The articles also warn that claims of a permanent free PlayStation Plus are scams, and outline legitimate ways to obtain the service for free, such as trial periods, bundle offers, PlayStation Stars points, or shared accounts.
