Sony PlayStation State of Play June 2026 unveils Marvel's Wolverine, God of War Laufey and other titles

On June 2, 2026 Sony Interactive Entertainment streamed a 60‑minute State of Play event for PlayStation 5. The showcase opened with extensive gameplay of Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games, confirming a September 15, 2026 launch exclusively on PS5 and opening pre‑orders for Standard and Digital Deluxe editions.

Later in the broadcast Sony revealed God of War Laufey, a new saga centered on Faye, Kratos’s late wife, with no release date announced but a trailer promising a mythic afterlife adventure. Until Dawn 2 was announced for a 2027 release, shifting the horror series to an island setting and retaining its decision‑making mechanics. Silent Hill Townfall received a new story trailer and a confirmed release date of September 24, 2026 for PS5 and PC. Additional titles confirmed for September releases included Control Resonant (Sept 24) and Marathon Season 2 (immediate start). Other announcements covered Rayman Legends: Retold (Oct 1), MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls (Aug 6), and a free‑play week for Marathon (June 2‑9). All games are slated for PlayStation 5, with several also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC.
